GenASIS HiBand is a unique karyotyping diagnostic software that offers cytogenetics laboratories accurate, reproducible, and standardized analysis.
Above all, used by hundreds of laboratories worldwide, the HiBand software allows users to fully customize their workflow and diagnosis according to their preferences. Moreover, with a wide range of tools available in the program, it enables multiple tasks to be performed with a single click.
Likewise, HiBand is a powerful solution for G/R/C/Q band karyotyping, providing cytogenetics laboratories with a workflow that delivers higher throughput and greater clinical precision. BandView supports both automated and manual workflows for metaphase finding and image capturing.
The GenASIs software allows for various types of stains for brightfield and fluorescence, including R-banding, Q-banding, fluorescent R-banding, DAPI banding, and many others.
Chromosomes are treated with quinacrine mustard solution, a fluorescent stain, to identify specific chromosomes and structural rearrangements.
It’s useful for distinguishing the Y chromosome (also in interphase), as well as various polymorphisms involving satellites and centromeres of specific chromosomes.
GenASIs HiBand supports fully automated scanning integrated with an automated microscope, automated trays, and the high-throughput automation platform – tray loader.
In addition to automatic scanning, GenASIs HiBand performs many functions without the need for user intervention, saving your laboratory time and improving the final outcome.
GenASIs HiBand includes powerful tools for even the most complicated karyotype.
In manual systems, BandView functions as a support tool for professionals who perform direct sample analysis using optical microscopes. Furthermore, the process involves the manual capture of chromosomal images, which are then uploaded into the software for digital analysis. The operator has full control over adjusting focus, contrast, and sharpness of the images before applying BandView’s features.
The professional manually captures images of the metaphases and uses BandView to organize the chromosomes into a digital karyotype. The software assists in the visual comparison of banding patterns, but the final interpretation of anomalies depends on the analyst’s expertise.
In review systems, BandView is integrated into an automated platform where images are scanned before analysis. The software applies advanced algorithms to organize, compare, and identify chromosomal banding patterns, automatically highlighting possible genetic anomalies.
After manual cell capture or automated slide scanning, BandView processes the images and accurately constructs the digital karyotype. The system automatically identifies and highlights regions of interest, facilitating quick review by professionals. Additionally, the results can be shared remotely to enable collaboration between teams from different locations.
The GenASIs CDM (Case Data Manager) was exclusively developed by ASI to serve as the main access portal for all programs and their stages for users. It includes numerous tools and features, from case creation to capture and review, with analysis of each cell in every case.
